1. About these terms

These terms apply to the use of this website and to the concierge services offered under the Carpathian Reserve brand by the company identified below ("we", "us"). The specific services, prices and conditions of an individual experience are set out in your personalised proposal and booking confirmation, which take precedence over these general terms where they differ.

2. Our role

Carpathian Reserve is a coordination service. We connect you with authorised hunting grounds and experienced local professionals in Romania and coordinate the practical arrangements around your journey: planning, communication with partners, transfers, accommodation arrangements, documentation assistance and, where requested, trophy, taxidermy, filming and companion arrangements.

The hunting activity itself is conducted by the authorised hunting ground and its professionals under Romanian law. We do not operate hunting grounds, and we are not the taxidermist, veterinary authority, customs broker, carrier or issuer of any permit. Those services are provided by independent partners and authorities under their own terms.

Hunting depends on wildlife, weather, seasons, quotas and legal conditions. We never guarantee a sighting, a harvest, a trophy size or category, the availability of a particular hunting ground or partner, or a specific outcome.

3. Enquiries, proposals and bookings

The information on this website is for general guidance and does not constitute an offer. After you contact us, we consult our partners and prepare a personalised proposal describing the proposed experience, our coordination services, the expected third-party charges and the applicable conditions.

A booking is confirmed only when we send you a written booking confirmation and, where the proposal requires it, the agreed deposit or payment has been received. Until then, dates, hunting grounds and partner services are not reserved.

4. Prices and payment

Our concierge fee is presented separately from hunting-ground charges, trophy fees, accommodation, meals, taxidermy, trophy management, export formalities, transport and any other third-party service. Third-party charges are set by the respective providers and may change; they are not included in our fee unless your proposal expressly says so.

Prices are quoted in euro. Whether a price is net or includes VAT and other taxes is stated in your proposal. Payment methods, deposits and due dates are set out in the proposal and booking confirmation.

5. Changes and cancellation

The cancellation and amendment conditions applicable to your booking — including those of hunting grounds, accommodation providers and other partners, which may be stricter than ours — are set out in your proposal and booking confirmation. Please read them before confirming.

Where an experience cannot take place as planned because of circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including weather, wildlife conditions, changes in law, quotas or authorisations, or decisions of the hunting ground for safety reasons), we will work with our partners to propose an alternative. Refunds of third-party charges are subject to the terms of the respective providers.

6. Your responsibilities

to provide accurate information and to hold valid travel documents, firearm permits (including the European Firearms Pass where applicable), hunting licences and insurance required by Romanian law and by your home country;
to follow the instructions of the hunting-ground professionals and guides at all times, and to hunt ethically, safely and lawfully;
to be physically able to take part in the experience you have chosen and to tell us in advance about anything that may affect it;
to comply with the export, import and customs requirements of your destination country for any trophy.

7. Liability

We are responsible for performing our coordination services with reasonable care and skill. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of independent hunting grounds, guides, accommodation providers, taxidermists, carriers, authorities or other third parties, except where the law provides otherwise. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for rights you have as a consumer.

8. Website content and intellectual property

The text, design, logo and photographs on this website are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced without written permission. Photographs are the work of their respective photographers and are used with their consent. Hunting seasons, methods and other regulatory information are indicative and may change; the applicable rules are confirmed with the hunting ground for each booking.

9. Consumer information

If you are a consumer, you may contact the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC) and use the alternative dispute resolution (SAL) procedure: anpc.ro/ce-este-sal. You may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Romanian law. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Romania, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection you enjoy under the law of your country of residence.
